Reporting XML was used early on for users of our acode format to help them migrate when we made the transition to our Chado database in late 2006. Keeping both formats around has become a burden to our development team and it is not widely used publicly so we will be phasing it out over the next year or more. Here is what this means to you:
- Our public Reporting XML web service has been discontinued as of now
- All new data classes that we release from now on will not have a reporting XML format
- All existing reporting XML files will be supported for the next year but will be phased out after that
- The existing reporting XML files will merely be maintained and not patched or enhanced
