Postdoctoral Fellow in Drosophila Developmental Neurobiology

A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available immediately to join the Fengwei Yu’s group In Singapore. The group investigates the mechanisms controlling neural development using Drosophila melanogaster as a model organism [Neuron 51: 13-20 (2006); Nature Cell Biology 7: 1091-1098 (2005); Genes and Development 19: 1341-1353 (2005)]. The successful candidate is expected to be highly motivated, to work independently and pursue an integrated approach involving classical genetic, molecular, cellular, biochemical methodologies. Experience with Drosophila genetics will be a great advantage.

The annual salary ($40-45K) given is commensurable to the educational qualifications and working experience of the candidates. Benefits include annual housing allowance (about $10K), annual leave, medical and dental benefits, etc.
