Research Assistant (Drosophila Neurobiology)

A Research Assistant position is available immediately to join the Fengwei Yu’s group In Singapore. The group investigates the mechanisms controlling neural development and neurodegeneration using Drosophila melanogaster as a model organism [Nature Neuroscience 2009 in press; Neuron 51: 13-20 (2006); Nature Cell Biology 7: 1091-1098 (2005); Genes and Development 19: 1341-1353 (2005)]. The successful candidate is expected to be highly motivated, to work independently and pursue an integrated approach involving classical genetic, molecular, cellular, biochemical methodologies. Experience with Drosophila development and genetics will be a great advantage.
