RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP (M/F)
Title of the Project: “Functional genomic analysis of the Drosophila early eye specification gene network”
Reference: PTDC/SAU-BID/112250/2009
A Fellowship is open for a research assistant to collaborate in the above-mentioned Project. The fellowship has the duration of 24 months, starting after January 2012. The monthly amount of the fellowship is € 980,00.
Place of Work: Molecular Genetics Unit at the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology (http://www.ibmc.up.pt) in Porto, Portugal.
Background of the Project: The successful candidate will participate in a project that adds genomics and systems biology approaches to Drosophila developmental genetics and molecular biology techniques with the goal to model the processes leading to the specification and growth of eye progenitor cells and their transition into cell-cycle quiescent retinal precursors in the form of a regulatory gene network (RGN).
Candidate profile: The applicant should have a MSc in Biochemistry, Biology or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline. Preferred skill requirements include working experience in molecular and cell biology, and knowledge/experience working with Drosophila melanogaster.
The applications for this fellowship should be received between 13th and 26th December 2011. The proposals should include a full CV, and two contacts for academic references, and should be submitted on the IBMC webpage: http://www.ibmc.up.pt/gestaocandidatura ... o=PR023410
