MDACC Department of Genetics Tenure-track Faculty Position

The Department of Genetics at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks an outstanding and highly interactive basic research scientist for a tenure track faculty position. Applicants at the Assistant and Associate Professor levels are welcome. We are specifically interested in researchers utilizing model organisms or genomics approaches to investigate fundamental biological problems.
New faculty will join a collegial department with programs in developmental biology, cell signaling, DNA repair, cell division, and human and mouse cancer genetics and genomics.
We offer a generous recruitment package, state-of-the art facilities, competitive graduate and post-doctoral training programs, and the unparalleled research environment of MD Anderson, currently the nation’s top ranked cancer center, and the surrounding Texas Medical Center, the world’s largest biomedical center. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree, and will be expected to develop an internationally recognized, extramurally funded research program and make significant contributions to graduate education.
