Description
What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release. It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

In combination with other aberrations
Has no effect on the frequency of X-Y chromosome nondisjunction seen in Df(1)X-1-53B males.
Df(2R)cn83c/Df(2R)CA53 embryos are usually wild-type, but sometimes have segmentation defects and denticles in the third thoracic segment that resemble abdominal denticles. Df(2R)CA53/Df(2R)cn83c ; Scm1/+ embryos lack terminal structures and are U-shaped. Denticle belts of the 3rd to 7th abdominal segments are transformed posteriorly.
NOT in combination with other aberrations
The Df(2R)CA53 chromosome does not act as a dominant suppressor of telomeric silencing (assayed using the effect of the chromosome on the eye colour phenotype of flies carrying "P{wvar}KR3-2", a stable "brown-red" variant of the P{3'WP-2,wvar}2Lt insertion).
Heterozygosity for this deletion has no effect on the mutant ovarian phenotype of ovoD2.
1-3% of male flies carrying Df(2R)CA53 have extra sex combs.
Ocelli small in heterozygotes.
