    Mitotic recombination clones in the wing and leg of adults caused by γ irradiation of larvae produce outgrowths from the body surface. Clones have smooth edges and are round or elliptical in shape. Cellular defect in the clones is that the apical ends of the cells are domed, not flat, and cuticle deposits over the domed apical surfaces.
