Comments on Cytology

98F14 breakpoint is to the right of the original 98F breakpoint of T(Y;3)B152, which is a progenitor of Dp(3;1)B152.

Second breakpoint of the deficiency is within heterochromatin, it is not specified if this is within the Y or X chromosome heterochromatin of the progenitor. From cytological and genetic criteria the likely order of euchromatin deficiency breakpoints from proximal to distal is Dp(3;1)74 - Dp(3;1)78 - T(Y;3)B81 - Dp(3;1)R14 - Dp(3;1)R10/Dp(3;1)67N - Dp(3;1)67A - Dp(3;1)3.

Limits of break 1 from polytene analysis (FBrf0049882) Limits of break 2 from polytene analysis (FBrf0041494)

Affected Genes Inferred by Location (0)
If no genes are listed here, it may be because the affected region is very large. The JBrowse insert above may show an error for the same reason, and other FlyBase tools such as CytoSearch may also fail for large regions. You can contact FlyBase for more help.
In these cases, there will be no "Export to Hitlist" button to the left.
    Phenotypic Data
    In combination with other aberrations
NOT in combination with other aberrations

Heterozygotes with Df(3R)L127 display a strong M(3)99B phenotype and are sterile. Heterozygotes with Df(3R)B81 display a RpL32 phenotype, small bristles, slightly abnormal wings and 2-3 days delay in hatching. Heterozygotes with Df(3R)R133 are viable.
