A set of isogenic deficiency stocks created by FLP-induced recombination between FRT-carrying transgenic insertions; molecularly defined deletion endpoints correspond to initial location of the progenitor insertions. Initial core set of 209 isogenic deletions provides ~60% euchromatic genome coverage.
This deletion removes multiple ribosomal protein-coding genes (in addition to other genes).
Heterozygous Df(3R)ED5518 mutant females exhibit a dilated cardiomyopathy phenotype, including an increased end-systolic dimension (EDD) and a decreased fractional shortening (FS) compared to controls. Bristles appear short and thin compared to wild type (Minute phenotype).
Flies heterozygous for the deletion show a Minute bristle phenotype.
