[40B3-40B3];[40B4-40B4];
A set of ~800 largely isogenic deficiency stocks created by FLP-induced recombination between FRT-carrying transgenic insertions; molecularly defined deletion endpoints correspond to initial location of the progenitor insertions. Designed to fill gaps in deletion coverage and breakpoint placement; also used to replace older available deficiencies that have not been molecularly mapped.
40B3;40B4
Breakpoint from FlyBase's release 5 sequence location of progenitor insertion.
Deletion homozygotes are viable.
Presence of P+PBac{XP5.WH5}BSC114 was verified using the PCR methods and primers described in FBrf0175003.
The cytological breakpoints of Df(2L)BSC114 predicted from Release 3 genomic coordinates of P{XP}d11137 and PBac{WH}CG31600f03244 are 40B3;40B4. PCR failed to amplify 588 bp and 810 bp segments lying between P{XP}d11137 and PBac{WH}CG31600f03244 from the homozygotes using the primer pairs 5'-TGCGGACTGCTGTTTTTGCT-3'/5'-CTTTGTTGGTCTGTTTGTTGTG-3' and 5'-CAACACTCGCAATCATTTGTG-3'/5'-AGTCGTAAACGCTTCCTTCTGCCC-3', respectively.
