[57A8-57A8];[57B1-57B1];
A set of ~800 largely isogenic deficiency stocks created by FLP-induced recombination between FRT-carrying transgenic insertions; molecularly defined deletion endpoints correspond to initial location of the progenitor insertions. Designed to fill gaps in deletion coverage and breakpoint placement; also used to replace older available deficiencies that have not been molecularly mapped.

Breakpoint from FlyBase's release 5 sequence location of progenitor insertion.
Lethal in combination with Df(2R)BSC403.
Lethal in combination with Df(2R)Exel6070.
Lethal in combination with Df(2R)Exel7164.
The presence of P+PBac{XP5.RB3}BSC402 was verified using the PCR methods and primers described in FBrf0175003 with the substitution of the primer 5'-CCAATGCGTTTATTTCAGGTCACG-3' for the RB3' plus or RB3' minus primer in the Hybrid PCR protocol in the Supplementary Methods.
The cytological breakpoints of Df(2R)BSC402 predicted from the Release 5 genomic coordinates of the progenitor PBac{RB}CG11180e03938 and P{XP}d10661 transposable element insertions sites are 57A8;57B1.
