Member of large scale dataset(s)
A set of ~800 largely isogenic deficiency stocks created by FLP-induced recombination between FRT-carrying transgenic insertions; molecularly defined deletion endpoints correspond to initial location of the progenitor insertions. Designed to fill gaps in deletion coverage and breakpoint placement; also used to replace older available deficiencies that have not been molecularly mapped.

Description
What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release. It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

Exelixis, Inc. determined the insertion site of the progenitor P{XP}d10537 to be at Release 3 genomic coordinate 4168716 on chromosome arm 3L. This corresponds to 64A10 on both the Release 3 and 5 genome maps. The predicted position of the progenitor PBac{WH}f06996 on the Release 5 map is 64B1. Consequently, the cytological breakpoints of Df(3L)BSC370 are predicted to be 64A10;64B1.
