A set of ~800 largely isogenic deficiency stocks created by FLP-induced recombination between FRT-carrying transgenic insertions; molecularly defined deletion endpoints correspond to initial location of the progenitor insertions. Designed to fill gaps in deletion coverage and breakpoint placement; also used to replace older available deficiencies that have not been molecularly mapped.
Breakpoint from FlyBase's release 5 sequence location of progenitor insertion.
Inferred to overlap with: Df(2R)BSC778.
wmdKG07581/Df(2R)BSC661 adult flies show wing defects.
The presence of P+PBac{XP5.RB3}BSC661 was verified using the PCR methods and primers described in FBrf0175003 with the substitution of the primer 5'-GCTTCTAAACGCTTACGCATAAACGATG-3' for the RB3' plus or RB3' minus primer in the Hybrid PCR protocol in FBrf0174229.
The cytological breakpoints of Df(2R)BSC661 predicted from the Release 5 genomic coordinates of the progenitor PBac{RB}e01349 and P{XP}Pde8d02989 insertion sites are 59D8;59F5.
