Comments

Deletion of tay and part of CG16952 resulting from FLP-catalyzed recombination using the FRT-containing transposons PBac{RB}CG16952e03798 and P{XP}d06351.

Df(1)tay is embryonic lethal. Ectopic wing vein induction is seen in Df(1)tay mutant wing vein clones in inter-vein territories. Only a fraction of the mutant cells in each clone differentiate as ectopic veins of normal thickness.
