FLP-mediated recombination between the two progenitor insertions (PBac{RB}dsd^e01820 and PBac{WH}Mtl^f07113) has resulted in the deletion of genomic sequence between them (31kb).

In contrast to wild-type controls, Tusp^G homozygous as well as Tusp^G/Df(3R)Tusp-D transheterozygous adult flies display heat-shock (40[o]C, 5min) induced paralysis (indicative of neuronal function defects) and require up to 20 min to recover.
