Statement Reference Eye colour: yellowish vermilion, darkening to wild-type with age. Ocellus colour: white; not darkening with age. Malpighian tubule colour: bright yellow; not distinguishable from wild type. RK2. Drosopterin content of eyes about 85% normal. Phenoxazinone synthetase activity about 39% wild type; accumulates 3-hydroxykinurenine. Phenoxazinone synthetase activity about 39% wild type; accumulates 3-hydroxykinurenine. Accumulates a blue-fluorescent compound termed cardinalic acid (xantherenic acid 8-O-β-O-glucoside). Eye colour: pale brown. Ocellus colour: white. Eyes are pale brown. Blocks pigmentation of the secondary pigment cells and causes excessive pigmentation of the primary pigment cells. | |||
