      vnC221/vnddd-13 transheterozygotes are semi-viable at 25oC, escapers survive for 3 days and are of normal appearance except for held-out wings and the absence of anterior cross vein.

      Individuals transheterozygous with a strong EMS vn mutation at 20oC exhibit held out wings, at 27oC individuals are prepupal lethal with notumless wing discs.
