Description
What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release. It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

hide Detailed Description
Statement
Reference
dpps4/dpps8 flies lack the distal ends of wing vein LII, LIV and LV.
A posterior clone runs along the antero-posterior boundary until it reaches a gap in wing vein 4 (a region sensitive to lack of dpp) where the border of the clone becomes irregular.

Statement
Reference
Double mutant clones with nub1 or nub2 cause dramatic reduction of cell number in the wing pouch.
The dpp shortvein phenotype is strongly enhanced, and the tkv phenotype is suppressed, in dpps4 tkv1/dpps8 tkv8 double mutant flies. The rhohs.PSt and Ras64BAct5C.PC ectopic vein phenotypes are suppressed in combination with dpps4/dpps8. dpps4/dpps8 NAx-1 double mutant flies show pronounced wing vein loss. The dpp loss of vein phenotype is epistatic in dpps4/dpps8 Nnd-3 double mutants, and the vein thickening characteristic of Nnd-3 is eliminated.
