Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Homozygotes and heterozygotes with a wild type copy display a severely reduced head, up to three abdominal segments are formed in the head region.

As in the case of hb7, resembles a class I mutant, but with transformation of gnathal and first abdominal segments into posterior abdominal segments. Expression in homozygotes more extreme than in hemizygotes. class II - hypomorph - retains prothoracic and A7 segments
