Pairing sensitive repression is unchanged in iab-7 PRE lines that carry kto1.

Mutation does not affect the level of w expression in ph-plac+3 flies.

Isolated as a dominant suppressor of Pc mutations. Also suppresses Pcl alleles as well as Msc, Mrt and AntpScx. Associated with recessive larval lethality.

15+/-4% of KrIf-1/+ flies born to kto1/+ mothers have outgrowths with ectopic vibrissae protruding from the ventral region of the eye, compared to less than 0.1% of KrIf-1/+ flies born to isogenised wild-type mothers.

Mutant weakly suppresses the CycEJP rough eye phenotype.

kto1/+ does not suppress the rough eye phenotype due to Scer\GAL4ey.PH; asf1Scer\UAS.cMa.

kto1 corto420 double heterozygotes show posterior crossvein defects.

The rough eye phenotype caused by expression of BEAF-32Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PS is enhanced by kto1/+.
