Flies have a variable bristle phenotype. May slightly enhance the wing notching phenotype of Nnd-1.

Heterozygotes have shorter bristles than wild type flies. Eclosion is delayed by 45 hours.

In RpS174 heterozygous larval wing discs, clones bearing two copies of RpL36+t4 do not compete with otherwise wild-type neighboring clones, as shown by their comparable clone size.
