Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

A small proportion of skd2 heterozygous adults show an ectopic scutellar bristle phenotype, as compared to controls.

brm2 shows little if any interaction in double heterozygous combination with skd2; less than 3% of flies have held-out wings.

Mutation does not affect the level of w expression in ph-plac+3 flies.

Associated with recessive lethality at the larval-pupal transition.

Additional Comments
Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

The ectopic scutellar bristle phenotype observed in skd2 heterozygotes is enhanced by sxcH537A heterozygosity, but is not further enhanced by sxcH537A homozygosity.

2+/-1% of KrIf-1/+ flies born to skd2/+ mothers have outgrowths with ectopic vibrissae protruding from the ventral region of the eye, compared to less than 0.1% of KrIf-1/+ flies born to isogenised wild-type mothers.

Mutant suppresses the CycEJP eye rough phenotype.

The lethality caused by sevS11.T:Hsap\MYC in combination with Ras85DV12.sev is suppressed by skd2.

Isolated as a dominant suppressor of Pc mutations. Also interacts with Pcl, Scr and Ubx mutations. May weakly suppress AntpNs.

Suppresses the extra sex comb phenotype of Pc4, Ts(YLt;2Lt)L124. Causes between 50% and 100% suppression of the Pc4/+ extra sex combs phenotype.
