      Homozygous lethal at 25oC, homozygous viable at 18oC. Dominant suppressor of position effect variegation at the w locus at 25oC. Homozygous flies raised at 18oC show significant suppression of position effect variegation at the w locus. Homozygous females are sterile and lay eggs that do not complete embryonic development.
