Detailed Description

Embryos from heterozygous females are strongly ventralised; the ventral epidermis is expanded, there is complete loss of dorsal epidermis and the mesoderm is not expanded. Females carrying Tl4 in trans with a null allele of Tl produce dorsalised embryos.

Pattern normalized by extra copy of wild-type allele. All Tl4/+/+ embryos make dorsal hairs and one quarter of these embryos make filzkorper. dominant
