Reference
9.3% of heterozygotes show transformation of segment A5 to A4.
20.8% of heterozygous adults show at least one transformation phenotype. trx3 may be slightly antimorphic. trx3/trxZ11 adults occasionally developed small heads, anterior thoracic segments, abnormal antennae with reduced aristae and reduced or absent maxillary palps. They also often develop A1 tergites with dark pigmentation and large Uab-like bristles at their posterior borders. The flies have patches of small bristles in the A2 and A3 tergites that are normally only found in the A1 tergite. Transformation of ventral T1 to ventral T2 is seen, and sternopleural bristles are present on T1.
Mutation changes the level of w expression in ph-plac+3 flies; eye colour is lighter.
Suppressor of the Dlw1/Dlw+ ventral to dorsal wing transformation.
Like trx2. About 75% of the trx1/trx3 transheterozygotes are lethals, larval and pupal (Ingham, 1981). recessive; lethal in homozygotes or with trx2 or trxD
