No homeotic phenotype and the mutation cannot enhance the homeotic phenotypes of Pc group mutants (FBrf0049524).

Abdominal clones fail to show clear evidence of bristle abnormalities or segmental transformations.

PscArp.1/Df(2R)Su(z)2-1.b8 embryos have severe head defects.

PscArp.1 embryos in combination with Df(2R)Arp1.Fbf1a, Df(2R)vg-D or Df(2R)vg62 have a similar phenotype to PscArp.1 homozygotes. PscArp.1/Df(2R)Su(z)2-1.b8 or PscArp.1/Df(2R)vg-B embryos have a similar phenotype to Df(2R)Arp1.Fbf1a/Df(2R)Su(z)2-1.b8 embryos. Embryos doubly mutant for PscArp.1 and Asx5 show strong posteriorly directed segmental transformations; in most embryos the thoracic ventral setal belts (VSBs) resemble typical abdominal VSBs, and from two to eight VSBs have a typical A8 shape. Many embryos have abdominal-like VSBs on the head. Embryos doubly mutant for PscArp.1 and ScmD1 show strong posteriorly directed segmental transformations. There is severe erosion of the ventral setae in the second and third thoracic segments, any setae present on these segments appear to be primarily or entirely abdominal. Ectopic Fell hairs are seen in more than 75% of cases. Embryos doubly mutant for PscArp.1 and Pcl5 show posteriorly directed segmental transformations. There is medial erosion of the ventral setae and ectopic Fell hairs are seen in approximately 60% of cases. Embryos doubly mutant for PscArp.1 and phob show a mild anterior to posterior segmental transformation. There is medial erosion of the ventral setae and ectopic Fell hairs are seen in more than 75% of cases. Approximately 10% of embryos have large cuticular holes. Embryos doubly mutant for PscArp.1 and Sce1 have ectopic Fell hairs in approximately 30% of cases, and medial erosion of the VSBs. The Sce1 phenotype of lack (or partial lack) of the fourth abdominal segment VSB is substantially enhanced.
