Show significantly reduced ability to develop ethanol tolerance.
The architecture of the protocerebral bridge is disturbed in cexKS181 adult brains; it looks more 'glomerular' than wild type. Total walking activity is significantly decreased in comparison to wild-type flies. Episodes of high walking probability occur as frequently as in wild-type flies, but these episodes are of much shorter duration than in wild type.
Homozygous larvae show reduced locomotor behaviour (shorter path lengths) on agar (non-foraging surface) and yeast (foraging surface) compared to controls. Larvae are slower than controls in a roll over test.
Protocerebral bridge of central body segmented showing its 16 glomeruli. Fan shaped body and ellipsoid body affected along the midline, often with a cleft in the fan body and a ventral opening in the ellipsoid body. Noduli occasionally fragmented or fused.
