Heterozygotes have extra dorsocentral bristles on the notum.

pnrD1/+ flies exhibit extra dorsocentral and scutellar sensory organs. Larvae have an increased number of sensory organ precursors.

pnrD1/+ flies have extra dorsocentral and scutellar bristles on the thorax.

pnrD1 heterozygotes exhibit 3.34 dorsocentral bristles per heminotum compared to 2.0 in wild-type controls.

pnrMD237/pnrD1 mutants show abnormal muscle attachments. The dorsal medial muscle (DLM)s appear as a single fibre. The notum also shows defects, a notal cleft is seen along with extra dorsocentral bristles.

Heterozygous flies have an excess of dorsocentral and scutellar bristles, and show a loss of postvertical bristles.

In pnrD1/pnrMD237 mutants there is an increase in number of the wg-dependent dorsocentral bristles.

Homozygotes exhibit a dorsal hole. Heterozygotes exhibit a slight thoracic cleft defects and extra dorsocentral and scutellar bristles. Dominant phenotype is suppressed by pnrVX3. Mitotic clones in the thorax adjacent to the thoracic midline cause a sizeable bilateral cleft involving most of the scutum causing the entire scutellum to disappear.

Heterozygotes display extra dorsocentral bristles. Similar phenotype is seen in clones homozygous for pnrD1. Dominant phenotype enhanced in viable transallelic combinations with pnrV1.

pnrD1/CtBPrev19 flies have ectopic thoracic sensory organs, increased compared to pnrD1/+. The number of larval sensory organ precursors is also increased.

Rpd3def24/+ enhances the phenotype of pnrD1/+, resulting in extra dorsocentral sensory organs.

Rpd304556/+ enhances the phenotype of pnrD1/+, resulting in extra dorsocentral sensory organs.

Flies heterozygous for Rpd3303 or Rpd3326 and pnrD1 enhance the phenotype of pnrD1/+, resulting in extra sensory organs. Flies heterozygous for Rpd3313 and pnrD1 do not show enhancement of the pnrD1/+ phenotype.

Sin3AHW52/+, Sin3Aex4/+ or Sin3AEK14/+ do not enhance the phenotype of pnrD1/+, and no extra bristles are observed.

Sin3AdQ4/+ is an enhancer of the pnrD1/+ extra sensory organ phenotype.

The extra bristle phenotype of pnrD1 flies is suppressed by tupisl-1.

tou2 ; pnrD1/+ flies exhibit 2.17 dorsocentral bristles per heminotum compared to 3.34 per heminotum in pnrD1 heterozygotes, indicating that tou2 suppresses the phenotype. Iswi2/+ ; pnrD1/+ flies display on average 2.84 dorsocentral bristles per heminotum, so reducing the number observed in pnrD1/+ single mutants.

The pnrD1/+ bristle phenotype is suppressed when the flies are carrying three copies of ush+ and is enhanced when the flies are carrying only one copy of ush+.
