Description
What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release. It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

hide Detailed Description
Statement
Reference
Gustatory behaviour: reduced sensitivity to sucrose. Reduced feeding is due to reduced performance of the gustatory circuits, not a disinclination to feed as demonstrated by the proboscis extension reflex. Fails to respond to low concentrations of NaCl but rejection of high concentrations of NaCl and KCl is not significantly different from wild-type; defect in the assessment of salt concentration.
Defective chemosensory perception in third instar larvae and adults.

Excision lines show a complete reversion to the wildtype.
A revertant caused by precise excision of the P-element has been isolated.
