hide Detailed Description
Statement
Reference
phylhs.sev heterozygous mutants exhibit a rough eye phenotype. They exhibit an average of 1.71 R7 cells per ommatidium, compared to 1 R7 cell per ommatidium in wild-type.
14-3-3εS-696 does not show any dominant interaction with phylhs.sev.
Eyes are roughened. Ectopic R7 cells develop. Additional R7 cells is independent of sev activity but depends on sina function. Additional R7 cells are derived from cone cell precursors.

Statement
Reference
phylhs.sev heterozygous mutants in combination with alphS-331 exhibit a rough eye phenotype. They exhibit an average of 1.72 R7 cells per ommatidium, compared to 1 R7 cell per ommatidium in wild-type. This however is no higher than in phylhs.sev heterozygous mutants. phylhs.sev heterozygous mutants in combination with alphS-355 exhibit a rough eye phenotype. They exhibit an average of 1.70 R7 cells per ommatidium, compared to 1 R7 cell per ommatidium in wild-type. This however is no higher than in phylhs.sev heterozygous mutants.
Not lethal in combination with sevS11.T:Hsap\MYC.
Flies carrying both phylhs.sev and ttk88.hs.sev.T:Hsap\MYC have more normal eyes than flies carrying either phylhs.sev or ttk88.hs.sev.T:Hsap\MYC alone. The phylhs.sev phenotype is weakly enhanced by ttk1/+.

Statement
Reference
Combination of phyl[hs.sev] and Scer\GAL4[hs.2sev]-driven expression of Dl::N[ΔECN.Scer\UAS] results in a significant rescue in the specification of R1 and R6 cell types.
