ScerGAL4C41 drives expression in the ellipsoid body, faintly in some mushroom body neurons, in the pars intercerebralis and in some neurons of the subesophageal ganglion.

In late embryo, expression in subset of cells in the PNS. In third instar larva antennal disc, expression in precursors of the postgenal sensilla, proximal and distal rostral sensilla, and the postoccipital sensilla; in the eye disc, expression in the presumptive photoreceptor cells. In third instar wing disc, expressed in presumptive scutellum, in precursors of the dorsal sensilla campaniformia and the ventral sensilla campaniformia.

Expressed in most, but not all cells of the peripheral nervous system.

Thermogenetic activation (using TrpA1UAS.(B).cKa at 32[o]C) of Scer\GAL4C41 cells in adults does not affect startle-induced climbing behavior, compared to controls.
