Ras85DN17.sev flies have a weak rough eye phenotype and lack many photoreceptor R7 cells.

Ras85DN17.sev mutant eyes exhibit a rough eye phenotype.

Flies carrying Ras85DV12.sev have a mild rough eye phenotype and show loss of R7 cells.

Flies carrying Ras85DN17.sev have a rough eye phenotype caused by the absence of the R7 cell in approximately 25% of ommatidia and a lack of outer photoreceptor cells.

Mutants exhibit a loss of R7 cells (0.757 per ommatidium, compared to 1.0 in wild-type).

Halving the cno+ dose enhances the effect of Ras85DN17.sev resulting in a further decrease in the number of cone cells.

Rough eye phenotype complementary to that of Ras85DV12.sev : approximately 25% of the ommatidia are missing the R7 cell and occasionally an ommatidium lacks an outer photoreceptor cell.

Bap170hfl1 completely suppresses the rough eye phenotype and loss of photoreceptor R7 cells caused by Ras85DN17.sev.

A CblK26 heterozygous background moderately strongly suppresses the rough eye phenotype found in Ras85DN17.sev mutants.

The rough eye phenotype and loss of R7 cells produced by Ras85DN17.sev is enhanced by cswlf/Y.

The addition of sag13L/+ dominantly enhances the loss of R7 phenotype seen in Ras85DN17.sev flies, almost halving the average number of R7-like cells seen per ommatidium (from 0.757 to 0.415).

The small eye phenotype of flies carrying Ras85DN17.sev is enhanced by SKojak. Ras85DN17.sev/SKojak flies have as many as 3 to 4 extra R7 photoreceptor cells in each ommatidium. Flies doubly mutant for SIIN and Ras85DN17.sev have no R7 photoreceptor cells.
