Statement Reference Embryos die at stage 15-16 of embryogenesis. Mutant embryos appear normal up until this stage. No clones of mutant cells are ever recovered in eye discs, adult eyes or cuticle indicating that the mutant is cell lethal and that the survival of embryos to stage 15-16 is due to maternal contribution. | |||
