Detailed Description
| |||
Statement Reference Expression of thGMR.PH does not cause retinal degeneration. Flies expressing thGMR.PH have normal eye morphology. Normally occurring cell death (35-50hr postpupation) is blocked in eye development, giving rise to extra cells. Also blocks a second wave of normally occurring cell death that takes place between 60 and 70 hrs postpupation.

Genetic Interactions
| |||
Statement Reference Co-expression of th[GMR.PH] suppresses the eye ablation phenotype seen in animals in which HtrA2[GMR.PK] has been expressed under heat-stress conditions (30[o]C for 5 days). The small eye phenotype caused by expression of grim[Scer\UAS.cYa] under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.T:Hsap\APP] is completely suppressed by co-expression of th[GMR.PH]. The addition of thGMR.PH suppresses the eye phenotype in Hsap\MAPTGMR.Ex.PJ animals. When thGMR.PH is added to DfdScer\UAS.cLa, Scer\GAL4GMR.PF animals the eye phenotype is almost completely suppressed. When thGMR.PH is added to DfdScer\UAS.T:Hsim\VP16, Scer\GAL4GMR.PF animals the eye phenotype is suppressed. When thGMR.PH is added to rprGMR.PH animals the eye phenotype is almost completely suppressed. The rough eye phenotype of BacA\p35GMR.PH animals is suppressed by thGMR.PH. Flies expressing NcC318S.GMR and thGMR.PH have normal eye morphology. Flies expressing NcGMR.PH and thGMR.PH have normal eye morphology. The rough eye phenotype seen upon expression of Dref[Scer\UAS.cSa] in the developing eye under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PS] is suppressed by co-expression of th[GMR.PH]. The addition of thGMR.PH to Ncpro.Scer\UAS,Scer\GAL4GMR.PF completely rescues the phenotypes seen in these flies. The addition of thGMR.PH to NcΔN.Scer\UAS,Scer\GAL4GMR.PF fails to rescue the phenotypes seen in these flies. Largely suppresses the rough eye phenotype caused by expression of two copies of Psn+14.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF. Suppresses the rough eye phenotype of argosGMR.PS: normal number of cone cells and primary pigment cells are restored in most ommatidia.
Xenogenetic Interactions
| |||
Statement Reference The rough eye phenotype caused by expression of Hsap\MAPTV337M.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is suppressed by co-expression of thGMR.PH.
