What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release.
It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other
FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled
vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

| Nature of the lesion | Statement Reference Nucleotide substitution: G4800A (numbering system of FBrf0047067). Amino acid replacement: G593D. G593 maps only four amino acids C-terminal to the site of the lesion in pers. 3bp are deleted from the 3' UTR with respect to the sequence published in FBrf0049579. Two additional bases exist in the perT sequence, 800 bases upstream of the translation start site, in intron 1. | ||

Detailed Description
| |||
Statement Reference perT mutants show increased responsiveness to initial cocaine 75μg exposure, and weak sensitization (as compared to wild-type) to a second exposure when tested for behavioural responses. These flies do not show sensitization to other cocaine doses. Very fast 16hr clock mutant. Period-altering mutations. Homozygotes have a 16 hour period, heterozygotes with per+ have a 20 hour period and heterozygotes with per- have a shorter period than with per+. The rhythmic mutant can be entrained. At 25oC individuals exhibit marginal emergence rhythm but at 19oC periodicity is 17-18 hours. CkIIβAnd combined with perT exhibits a 1 hour lengthening of the adult periodicities, an additive effect. Combination with so mutation has no effect on rhythms. | |||
