Homozygous Thork13517 mutants exhibit wild-type synaptic differentiation.

Thork13517 mutant flies show a diminished change in lifespan when nutrient conditions are varied, however they show similar reductions in egg production as in controls.

Mutants show higher sensitivity to paraquat and to hydrogen peroxide than control flies.

Has no effect on ommatidial number compared to wild type flies.
