Overexpression of E(spl)mβ-HLHScer\UAS.cdCa under the control of Scer\GAL4A9 results in wing veins that are slightly thicker than normal.

No extra neuroblasts are seen when E(spl)mβ-HLHScer\UAS.cdCa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4wor.PA or Scer\GAL4elav.PU.

Expression of HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 causes a partial loss of wing veins.

Expression of HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PB has no effect on either eye or antenna disc development.

Expression of HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa under the control of Scer\GAL432B results in a mild thinning of wing veins and shortening of vein L5.

Expression of HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 prevents the differentiation of all wing veins except L2 and the proximal regions of tL4 and L5.

Expression of HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 causes a loss of most scutellar bristles.

Flies expressing HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa under the control of Scer\GAL432B show severe loss of wing veins. Loss of notum microchaetae and wing margin bristles is seen. Flies expressing HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 show complete loss of notum microchaetae and macrochaetae, except at the very anterior edge of the notum. Flies expressing HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa under the control of Scer\GAL4455.2 show severe loss of scutellar bristles. Flies expressing HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa under the control of Scer\GAL4h-1J3 show loss of notum macrochaetae.

When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, flies show bristle loss and wing vein phenotypes.

Eye discs patterning occurs almost normally in animals expressing two copies of HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa under the control of two copies of Scer\GAL4h-H10. These animals die as pupae without differentiating adult structures. Flies expressing one copy of HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa under the control of one copy of Scer\GAL4h-H10 are phenotypically wild-type.

Scer\GAL4c179-mediated expression in the wing causes deletion of most veins. Scer\GAL4salm-459.2-mediated expression causes truncation of vein LIV. Expression of rhoScer\UAS.cdCa rescues vein loss and results in thicker veins.

When expression is governed by Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 in the wing disc, wing overgrowth and ectopic margin structures do not occur. The anterior cross vein is missing.

The thickened wing vein phenotype resulting from the expression of uifasterisk.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4A9 is almost completely suppressed by co-expression of E(spl)mβ-HLHScer\UAS.cdCa.

Coexpression of HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa and groScer\UAS.cAa, under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, leads to a greater loss of wing veins than expression of HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa alone. In contrast, coexpression of HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa and groDD.Scer\UAS, under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, cannot suppress the wide wing vein phenotype seen when groDD.Scer\UAS is expressed alone. Coexpression of rlSem.Scer\UAS and HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa, under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, results in wing vein thickening that is indistinguishable from expression of rlSem.Scer\UAS alone.

Expression of HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa under the control of Scer\GAL432B completely suppresses the extra wing vein phenotype of nmoadk1/nmoadk2 flies.

The loss of wing vein phenotype caused by expression of HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 is enhanced by coexpression of emcScer\UAS.cdCa.

Partially suppresses the eye tissue polarity phenotype of dsh1 flies when expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4salm-459.2.

Expression of HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa under the control of Scer\GAL432B enhances the scalloped wing phenotype seen in hemizygous Nl1N-ts1 flies shifted to the non-permissive temperature at the early third larval instar stage (72-84 hours after egg laying). Expression of HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa under the control of Scer\GAL432B has no effect on the nicked wing phenotype seen in hemizygous Nl1N-ts1 flies shifted to the non-permissive temperature at the mid third larval instar stage (96-108 hours after egg laying).

The phenotype caused by expression of HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 is strongly enhanced by Su(dx)sp.

Reduces but does not completely suppress the ectopic wing vein formation seen in tkvQ253D.Scer\UAS.cLa Scer\GAL4bs-1348 flies, when expressed using Scer\GAL4bs-1348.
