The expression of btlScer\UAS.T:λ\cI-DD under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS results in over-proliferation and ectopic branching of tracheal cells, results in abnormal growth of tracheoblast cells at the base of the leg disc, which do not follow the bnl-positive cellular track into the leg disc, results in a decreased number of btl- and bnl-positive neurons in the retina, and results in an increased number of eye disc-associated hemocytes, as compared to controls.

Scer\GAL4btl.PS-mediated expression of btlScer\UAS.T:λ\cI-DD causes extra tracheal branching.

Expression of btlScer\UAS.T:λ\cI-DD in retinal basal glial (RBG) cell clones under the control of Scer\GAL4repo results in complete impairment of RBG migration, restricting them to the optic stalk. RBG proliferation and survival are not affected.

Overexpression of btlScer\UAS.T:λ\cI-DD in terminal cells, under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS, results in increased lumen formation as visualised by multiple, gas-filled lumens within single cells.

Scer\GAL4btl.PS-mediated expression of btlScer\UAS.T:λ\cI-DD enhances the tracheal cyst phenotype of exp135 embryos.

MARCM mosaics of Zpr131ZZ cells that overexpress btlScer\UAS.T:λ\cI-DD under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS display a Zpr131ZZ-like phenotype.

wkd220/Df(3R)Exel6276 alters the location of the ectopic seamless tube phenotype seen in tracheal terminal cells expressing btlScer\UAS.T:λ\cI-DD under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS. The increase in branching seen in tracheal terminal cells expressing btlScer\UAS.T:λ\cI-DD under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS is suppressed in a par-629VV mutant background, but the double mutant cells still show increased cell growth.

Co-expression of btlScer\UAS.T:λ\cI-DD leads to complete pupal lethality in files with expression of SmndsRNA.FL.Scer\UAS.WIZ driven by Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL.

Expression of btlScer\UAS.T:λ\cI-DD under the control of Scer\GAL4twi.PG is able to induce bilaterally symmetrical flattening of the mesodermal tube onto the ectoderm in htlAB42 embryos.
