What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release.
It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other
FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled
vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

Detailed Description

Statement Reference Average Citrate Synthase activity is increased by 4% in heterozygous males Homozygous embryos exhibit severe loss of PNS neurons and a significant increase in size of remaining neurons. Embryos arrest in cycle 16, in the majority of anaphase figures chromatids do not resolve but remain interlocked to form extensive chromatin bridges. The unresolved chromatids decondense without segregation and cytokinesis is attempted. Trl staining reveals mutation does not prevent centromere separation.

Genetic Interactions
| |||
Statement Reference Chromatin condenses nonuniformly in prophase and prometaphase in postblastoderm Cap-GK1 barrL305 double mutant embryos. By metaphase, chromosome condensation has reached wild-type levels. Chromatid separation defects are seen in anaphase when only the fourth chromosome is clearly seen to separate, and lagging chromosomes are seen in telophase. The double mutant postblastoderm embryos have an increased number of prometaphase figures compared to wild-type embryos, suggesting that the length of prometaphase may be increased in the mutant embryos.
