Description
What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release. It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

The presence of Δ2-3 somatic transposase to Muller5-B X chromosome carrying five target P-elements causes pupal lethality, without heat shock P{A-UP2} can repress some of the lethality but heat induced expression significantly enhances repression. Combination of P{S-UP2} and P{A-UP2} can repress pupal lethality, repression is induced or enhanced by heat shock. Combination of P{A-MP2} and P{A-UP2}, and P{A-BP2} and P{A-UP2} can repress pupal lethality when induced by heat shock about as effectively as the single construct. P{A-UP2} cannot repress snw mutability in the male germline or the somatic instability of snw (males have patches of weak sn, extreme sn and wild-type bristles) with or without heat shock. P{A-UP2} has no effect on the expression of the Ecol\lacZ gene of P{lacZ}snunspecified or P{lacZ}vasunspecified.
