Expression of Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4tey-5053A leads to an enhanced growth response of motoneuron axons after nerve crush injury in third instar larvae, as compared to wild type.
Third instar larvae expressing Mmus\PrkacamC.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 exhibit enhanced synaptic growth (increased number of boutons) at the neuromuscular junctions.
The class IV dendritic arborization neurons in flies expressing Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PG show a significant decrease in the complexity of dendritic arbors in respect to the total dendritic length. The total number of dendritic branching points is also decreased. This phenotype is dose-dependent: a greater loss of complexity is seen when one copy of Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS is expressed at 29[o]C compared with 25[o], and expression of two copies of Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS at 25[o]C causes even greater arbor simplification, with the arbors growing only minimal primary branches. These hypotrophic branches often end with a stump at the tip, indicating possible impairment of dendritic growth cone progression. The overall microtubule structure appears normal and polarity is similar to wild type. There are significantly fewer golgi outposts in the distal arbor compartments compared to wild type. The distribution of early endosomes is altered compared to wild type and the number of endosomes in the distal compartments is significantly lower.
Expression of GluRIICJF01854 under the control of Scer\GAL4G14 results in a significant reduction in bouton number at muscle 4 NMJs compared to controls. No significant difference is seen in muscle 6/7 NMJs.
Expression of Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 is lethal.
Flies expressing Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4104Y show reduced night-time sleep compared to controls.
Flies expressing Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.247 show altered temperature preference behaviour compared to wild type: the avoidance index for high temperature is significantly reduced compared to wild type.
Mated females expressing Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PG show higher levels of sexual receptivity than control mated females. The rate of egg-laying of the mutant mated females is not significantly different from that of control mated females.
After 24 hours of feeding with RU486, flies expressing Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO show decreased avoidance of high temperature, but not low temperature. Flies expressing Pka-R1BDK.Scer\UAS under the control of either Scer\GAL4Mef2.247 or Scer\GAL4c747 (restricted to 16 hours expression from day three of adulthood onwards using Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B) show a shift in temperature preference from 24[o]C to 27[o]C.
Expression of Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO (induced using RU486) decreases daily sleep. Expression of Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Tab2-201Y results in an increase in total daily sleep compared to controls. The adults flies have normal waking activity. Expression of Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4c309 results in an decrease in total daily sleep compared to controls. Activity normalised to waking time is not significantly higher than controls. Expression of Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL430Y or Scer\GAL4238Y promotes sleep during the day, but inhibits sleep during the night. Expression of Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.247.Switch (in the presence of RU486) results in a reduction in sleep, due to a shortened sleep bout duration without a concomitant increase in the sleep bout number. When RU486 is withdrawn after about three days of sleep deprivation, these flies show a robust sleep rebound response.
Expression of Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4c309 results in reduced sleep compared to controls.
Postsynaptic expression of Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS, under the control of Scer\GAL4eve.RN2, results in the averaged amplitude of synaptic currents recorded from whole-cell voltage clamp recordings of aCC/RP2 motoneurons being significantly increased compared with controls.
Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS; Scer\GAL4en-e16E adults have blistered wings. There is precocious cell of wing blade cells in late stage pharate adults (G+; <3hrs before eclosion) of this genotype .
The ability of aCC/RP2 to fire action potentials (APs) in response to an injection of constant current is decreased when Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS is constitutively expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4eve.RN2O and there is also a decrease in peak current density of voltage-dependent inward Na+ current compared to wild type.
7.3% of egg chambers have at least one binucleate nurse cell in females expressing Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16. 3.1% of egg chambers have at least one binucleate nurse cell in females expressing Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.PG.
When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4Itp-r83A-1664GAL4 in an otherwise wild type background larval molting is delayed. Molting delay is most evident at the L2 to L3 transition. Feeding Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS,Scer\GAL4Itp-r83A-1664GAL4 larvae 20-hydroxyecdysone has no effect on the molting delay.
When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4ninaE.PD photoreceptors have slower macroscopic kinetics, similar to the effect caused by cAMP and IBMX.
Expression of Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL471B results in a narrowing of the wing disc in the wing blade region.
Overexpression of Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Mhc.PW significantly decreases quantal size as estimated by the average spontaneous miniature excitatory junctional current or miniature excitatory junctional potential recorded in muscle 6 in the absence of nerve stimulation in larvae. The number of boutons at the neuromuscular junction of muscles 6 and 7 is normal in larvae expressing Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Mhc.PW.
Embryos expressing Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4e22c give rise to larvae with abnormal denticle belts; the wide posterior denticle rows of each segment are replaced by narrower and often incomplete rows of denticles with different morphology and polarity from wild-type.

Co-expression of wndGD13786, but not moodyKK100674, suppresses the enhanced growth response of motoneuron axons after nerve crush injury seen in larvae expressing Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4tey-5053A.
cpxSH1 mutant larvae expressing Mmus\PrkacamC.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 exhibit synaptic overgrowth (increased number of boutons) at neuromuscular junctions, similar to Mmus\PrkacamC.UAS expression alone, and this is not significantly affected by co-expression of either cpxUAS.7B or cpxS126D.UAS.7B but is significantly suppressed by cpxS126A.UAS.7B.
Co-expression of Rab5S43N.Scer\UAS and Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PG results in more severe loss of complexity in class IV dendritic arbors than when either transgene is expressed alone.
Expression of Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Akh.PW suppresses the reduced pupal length phenotype seen in Nf1E2 animals.
Expression of Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Oamb.4.4, using Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B to limit expression to 3 days prior to mating, fails to suppress the ovulation phenotype seen in Oambunspecified homozygotes.
The rough eye phenotype caused by expression of Hsap\MAPTV337M.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is enhanced by co-expression of Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS; the size of the eye is reduced and necrotic foci are formed.
30% of egg chambers have at least one binucleate nurse cell in Akap200k07118a/Df(2L)N22-14 females expressing Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16.
The wing disc phenotype caused by expression of Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL471B is still seen in animals also co-expressing either ciWT.P.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 or ci3m.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1. In contrast, in wing discs co-expressing ci5m.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 and Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL471B, overgrowth of the wing blade region is seen, as in animals expressing ci5m.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL471B.
When expressed with Pka-R1BDK.Scer\UAS or Pka-R1BGD.Scer\UAS under the influence of Scer\GAL4E62-2, Scer\GAL4h-1J3 or Scer\GAL4C166-2, Mmus\PkacamC.Scer\UAS completely suppresses adult pattern defects elicited by Pka-R1BDK.Scer\UAS or Pka-R1BGD.Scer\UAS. Adults have normal legs, blistered wings, no cuticular outgrowths or duplicated wings.
