hide Detailed Description
Statement
Reference
Mutants show an increased number of tendon cells at late stages of embryonic development (after muscle binding has occurred) compared to wild type.
Homozygous clones in the wing produce discrete, round blisters of variable size. These blisters can be located anywhere on the wing and are associated with abnormalities in venation. Homozygous clones that include the wing margin cause scalloping due to cell death.
mamunspecified mutant embryos show hypertrophy of the central nervous system. A maternal effect is seen in germline clones.

hide Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference
Shows a weak genetic interaction with mys8; the frequency of wing blisters is increased from approximately 10% in mys8 single hemizygotes to approximately 20% in mys8 hemizygotes that are also heterozygous for mamunspecified. Shows no interaction with mysb9.
