Deficiency complementation analysis is consistent with the lethality of the line being associated with the insertion. However, since the insertion lies within multiple transcription units (CG13510, CG13511 and CG42565), the lethality can not yet be conclusively mapped to a single gene from these results. Thus l(2)k17002k17002 (representing the lethality of the chromosome) has been kept as a separate allele in FlyBase for now.
