Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Dad1k12914 homozygous animals are lethal; Dad1k12914 homozygous clones in the adult eye and the third instar larvae wing discs are smaller than control clones, but the overall size of mosaic adult eyes and wings is not significantly affected; Dad1k12914 clones in third instar larval wing discs display increase in apoptosis and less mitotic cells than controls.

l(2)k12914k12914 clones in fat bodies from well-fed early third instar larvae accumulate lysosomes, as indicated by elevated LysoTracker staining.

Comments

The expression of Dad1Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 driven by Scer\GAL4tub.PU rescues both the lethality of Dad1k12914 homozygotes and the increased apoptosis observed in Dad1k12914 homozygous clones in third instar larval wing discs.
