	Carried in helper plasmid pKhsp82Hermes and used as a source of Mdoa\Hermes transposase in a plasmid-based Mdoa\Hermes transposition assay. The helper plasmid is injected together with donor and target plasmids into preblastoderm embryos of D.melanogaster. Plasmid DNA is recovered and introduced into bacteria. Mdoa\Hermes transposition events are detected by selecting simultaneously for kanamycin and chloramphenicol resistance. (Sarkar et al., 1997) Carried in plasmid pKhsp82Hermes, injected into D.melanogaster or D.virilis embryos and used as a helper plasmid (providing transposase function) in a plasmid-based transposition assay. (Horn and Wimmer, 2000)
