Clones expressing DllScer\UAS.cGa, generated under the control of Scer\GAL4tub.PU using the MARCM system, show what appears to be ectopic proximal leg tissues in the wing. Distal leg tissue is not generated.

Male and female genitalia are abnormal in animals expressing DllScer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1, but they are not transformed into leg.

DllScer\UAS.cGa driven by Scer\GAL4cad-em459 causes a reduction of anal primordium. Adult flies show no hindgut structure and the anal plates are also reduced.

Produces fusions of the tarsi when expressed using Scer\GAL4Dll-em212. Clones in the proximal part of the leg expressing DllScer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP cause leg duplications. Ectopic leg tissue emerging from the hinge and proximal regions of the wing and ectopic antennal tissue emerging from the eye is produced when DllScer\UAS.cGa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4E132. Ectopic leg tissue emerging from the haltere is produced when DllScer\UAS.cGa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544. Ectopic antennal tissue emerging from the head is produced when DllScer\UAS.cGa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 or Scer\GAL4C-68a.

Expression of DllScer\UAS.cGa is unable to rescue the aberrant leg phenotype seen when Df(1)btd-Sp1 mutant clones are generated during embryogenesis (in a minute background under the control of Scer\GAL4Dll-em212). The resulting legs are still severely truncated.

Coexpression of btdScer\UAS.cSa and DllScer\UAS.cGa, under the control of Scer\GAL4btd-MD808, cause ectopic formation of Keilin's organs in otherwise normal abdominal segments. These ectopic organs have more than the wild-type number of three sensory hairs.
