The abnormal temperature-preference behaviour of ple[4] flies (reduced avoidance index against low temperatures compared to wild type) is rescued by ple[+t8].
ple+t8 rescues ple2 and ple4 mutants 100% through the larval stage, but adult rescue is less than 50%. Those adults that do eclose are paler and weaker than their wild-type siblings.
