ushScer\UAS.cCa; Scer\GAL4lz-gal4 embryos have slightly reduced numbers of crystal cells at stage 13-16.

Overexpression of ushScer\UAS.cCa using Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in the loss of dorsocentral precursor cells and the subsequent loss of dorsocentral bristles.
