Description
What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release. It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

100% of heterozygous flies show rhythmic locomotor activity, with a period of 24.4 +/- 0.0 hours. 88% of homozygous flies show rhythmic locomotor activity, with a period of 24.9 +/- 0.2 hours. 92% of numbnuts/numbSW flies show rhythmic locomotor activity, with a period of 24.7 +/- 0.1 hours. 93% of numb1/numbSW flies show rhythmic locomotor activity, with a period of 24.6 +/- 0.1 hours. 94% of numb2/numbSW flies show rhythmic locomotor activity, with a period of 24.3 +/- 0.1 hours. 79% of numb3/numbSW flies show rhythmic locomotor activity, with a period of 24.6 +/- 0.1 hours.
Both macrochaetae and microchaetae exhibit abnormal external sensory structures. Homozygotes exhibit a weak double-socket phenotype, bristles are produced at the expense of a hair. The severity of the phenotype varies with the genotype. Adult sensory organs also show transformation of the neuron into a sheath.

Statement
Reference
Su(H)8 mutation dominantly suppresses the double socket phenotype, but not the double sheath phenotype, of numbSW/numb2 mutants. Su(H)8 does not suppress the phenotype of numbSW homozygotes. Removing one copy of H greatly enhances the double socket phenotype of homozygotes.
