Description
What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release. It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

Statement
Reference
One copy of sqhA21.T:Zzzz\FLAG in a wild-type background has no effect on eye development.
Approximately 10-20% of egg chambers in germline clones expressing sqhA21.T:Zzzz\FLAG apparently have a failure of cytokinesis during the fourth round of cystocyte division as they consist of 7 binuclear nurse cells and one binuclear oocyte. A fraction of eggs derived from germline clones expressing sqhA21.T:Zzzz\FLAG are deposited and have three or four dorsal appendages. The four appendages are found in two pairs separated by a variable fraction of the egg circumference. When three appendages are present, the central one often appears to be a fusion of two appendages. Eggs with three or four dorsal appendages can be fertilised and begin development. These embryos have posterior segmentation defects. Only 36% of these embryos show partial dorsalisation (reduced head skeleton and a narrowing of the denticle belts).

MbsT541 photoreceptor clones are restored to their wild-type apical location in the eye disc when discs carry one copy of the constitutively inactive the sqhA21.T:Zzzz\FLAG transgene.
The viability of both flwG0172 and flw6 mutants is much greater in a sqhA21.T:Zzzz\FLAG background than a sqhA20.T:Zzzz\FLAG background.
